Have I Found Religion?
I don't know why but for some strange reason I seem to be converting quite nice colour images to BW and actually enjoying them. I've even started looking for shots that will convert nicely....must be an age thing....
Geoff, I recall reading somewhere, and as I recall it was on Photo.net, that the best B&W conversions come from the best color versions. I'll typically develop a raw to the best color image then convert. Most times my intent is a B&W and that's what my mind sees but it has to be from a good color image.
Bill I sort of agree but some of my best BW shots are very simple using just light and shadow...quite angular in context with a very singular focal point. Best
